Quick fixes - lengthening the hem on some pants

In my sewing room I have a basket of clothes that need help! Clothes that are too long, short or big, school shorts needing new elastic and thrifted gems that weren't quite right but had potential so I bought them. They are all piled into my 'Quick Fix' basket and when I have half an hour to spare I rummage through and find something to alter.

This time it was some beige skinny pants that were just a bit too short.

Here's what I did:
1. Unpick the original hem.
2. Iron as flat as possible.
3. Make a circle of coordinating fabric to fit around the raw (unpicked) edge. Sew it in place right sides together close to the edge to get the most length you can from the pants fabric. The new fabric forms the new hem. Fold, iron and stitch in place.
4. And it's done!
