I have made another pair of Jamie jeans for winter.
This time they are made from a very stretchy, leopard print fabric. It is denim-weight, so good for jeans, but the high stretch of this fabric has definitely affected the fit of these compared to my last two pairs in denim and grey polka dots, both of which were only slightly to moderately stretchy.
I made these jeans the same size as the others, but they look bigger, even though I did take in the side seams a bit. That's ok though, these are very comfortable and I guess the slightly looser fit gives a different look.
On the topic of the fabric for a bit longer, it has a nap that I didn't notice and I cut the side front panels with the nap facing the opposite way to the rest of the jeans. I also cut the yoke pieces sideways for some strange reason that may have had something to do with the red wine I was swigging at the time! I think I probably got away with both issues though as I can pretend they were intentional. Oh yes I can!
This was a very casual day at a festival and I apologise for the camouflage effect in the long grass. I am not pretending to be a leopard. These jeans can be dressed up as well as down giving quite a different look.
I also made an effort to change the pockets so all my jeans are not too obviously made with the same pattern. These ones have leather stars! I put scraps of the same leather along the tops of the front pockets.
These jeans are not perfect, but I have found myself wearing them quite a bit lately. They go with many different tops and well, I just like 'em.

I think these are awesome! I love the leather pocket details:)
What a really great fit. I love the leather star accents on the back pockets and I'd like to copy that one day if I remember!
You really rock these jeans. How could you not wear them over and over again!
Very stylish jeans, lovely fit and running the nap different directions is a real feature. I can see why these are a favourite. Great work.
They are really cool and I love the fabric and leather accent!
Wow, thanks!
You sound just like me trying to store away good ideas and then forgetting what they were!
Yes, these are a winner! Thank you!
The nap directions was a happy accident. So pleased you like it!
Thank you. I should have also said that the leather washes in the machine without any problems at all.
