Mother's Day

I received two adorable cards today from my sweet boys. My five year old had even put 5c of his own money inside his card for me 'to spend on something nice at the cafe'. Well, I couldn't pass up that offer, so we all had a lovely walk along the river and stopped for coffee at the local French patisserie. It was a beautiful day.

The other cute surprise that I found in the card from my eight year old (see top photo) were some magic blooming flowers. They bloom when placed in water!

They are so simple to make, just paper coloured in with coloured pencils (my son thought this bit was important). They really brought a smile to my face :)
